Lauren Cohan (born 1982) is an American actress. Lauren was born in Philadelphia and lived in Cherry Hill Township, New Jersey during her childhood before moving to the United Kingdom. Lauren graduated from the University of Winchester / King Alfred's College where she studied Drama and English Literature, before touring with a theatre company she co-founded at the University. Lauren then split her time and work between London and Los Angeles, working on several films as well as some non-commercial projects.
Career
Her major movie debut was the 2005 film Casanova as Sister Beatrice. In 2006, she starred in the sequel to National Lampoon's Van Wilder, Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj playing the role of Charlotte Higginson, or Charlie. Her next role was in the 2007 film Float.
Cohan currently has a recurring role in the paranormal drama television series Supernatural, as Bela Talbot , a thief who sometimes helps out the Winchester Boys and sometimes annoys them. As reported on tvguide.com, Eric Kripke states that Lauren Cohen will not be returning as Bela in Supernatural's 4th season due to budget cuts and fans negative response to the character.
